Miguel Azeez is one of the best youngsters coming through from Hale End right now and figures around the club rate him extremely highly. Only 18 years old, Azeez made his professional debut for Arsenal in the Europa League earlier this season and fans have been calling to get him involved in the first team from next season onwards. A dynamic midfielder, Azeez is best as a central midfielder but has the ability to play as a number of roles in the middle of the park including a defensive midfielder and a box-to-box midfielder. With his skill set I would expect Arteta to be able to mould him into his perfect midfielder if he was involved in the first team regularly.
One of Azeez’s strongest attributes is his passing range. He likes to move the ball quickly which is something that will help him as he takes the step up to first team football where the game is played at a much higher intensity. He often shifts the ball in order to create space to carry the ball forward, however if this simple pass isn’t on he has an outstanding ball over the top to set off the wingers which often leads to a shot on goal 🎯
The teenager is also a great dribbler of the ball - he often picks it up from deep and drives through the middle of the pitch before finding his pass. If this isn’t an option then he will use his passing ability to pick out the perfect pass.
